Ford Iosis B-Max Concept

Ford of Europe will show off the concept of a compact MPV which is estimated will replace the Fusion in the event the Geneva Auto Show March next year.
Concept car named Iosis B-Max Concept is expected to enter production line at the end of next year and begin to be marketed exclusively to the European market in 2012.
The car which will enter the class B segment in Europe is going to be produced at Ford's assembly facility in Craiova, Romania which currently produces the Ford Transit Connect.
This compact MPV uses the chassis of Ford's global Fiesta applied 2008. He also features a sliding door in the rear. In the future he will compete with the Opel / Vauxhall Meriva who now dominate this market segment in Europe.
Fusion that have been launched since 2002 in Europe, began to look old and declining popularity. Fusion sales peaked in 2007 with as many as 82,696 units sold.
Ford expressed readiness to produce 150,000 units per year B segment cars in Craiova factory and 80% destined for export. Ford of Europe also hopes to boost production output in Craiova, which is still minimal production capacity.
Ford bought the plant from the Romanian government and will increase its investment as much as EUR 675 million (approximately USD 8.1 trillion) in 2012 and has been produce B-Max model since earlier this year. But Ford's initial investment has been delayed and will begin in late 2011.
