General Motors (GM) will follow the Guangzhou Auto Show this month with a series of recent car. Among them is the Chevrolet Sail electric vehicle (EV), which will be marketed in China in the near future.
Furthermore, Chevrolet will make a series of tests to determine the market response to this model and also to look at the feasibility to launch in other countries. Included in India which has entered into an agreement for marketing the Chevrolet Spark EV.
GM plans to market in China and India with these electric cars are not yet specified in detail. However Sail EV allegedly will play an important role in GM's strategy in the future.
GM-Chevrolet has launched Sail conventional version in early 2010 in China. And the issue will be the presence of Sail Electric version has been developed since the middle of this year. Conventional Sail marketed at a price U.S. $ 8,800 (USD 81 million) and offered in five variants.
Varian machine offered is 1,200 cc S-TEC II and 1,400 cc S-TEC III, each of which consume fuel 17.54 km / liter and 16.94 km / liter. 1200 cc version is claimed to accelerate from 0-100 km / h in 12.9 seconds while the 1400 cc version in 11.9 seconds.
